idle problems need help

Default idle problems need help

my neighboor owns a 91 crx. but when its at idle it idles up and down prolly from 800 rpm -1200rpm. would it be the idle air controll or something else

yea true but my homeboy told me it could also be a vacume line. and if so which one will it be?

could be a vacuum line, as well as a clogged pcv valve. remember, when trouble shooting, always start with the easiest and cheapest solution first. unless you know exactly what the problem is of coarse.

Take off the IACV and clean it first. I always tell people that

Look at the throttle plate for black stuff. If there is some there clean it up. then make sure you have no vacuume leaks any where. Is your car OBD1 or 2?

It could also be your MAP, if not i would take off the AIC valve and clean it with some carb cleaner, thats what i did to mine and its fine

96 and newer OBD 2

95 and older OBD 1.
