Idle Problem .. Please HELP! =[
To start off ....
I have '00 Honda Civic Lx ... 46K Miles.
Done in the last 6 months: New NGK Wires and Plugs, Standard Oil Changes every 3K, PCV Valve, Air Filter and New Battery, Rotor/Cap.
The Problem ....
Car starts fine, idles fine ... put it in drive, rev it or drive and stop, idle drops down to almost 100 and bout stalls. Putting AC on DOES NOT help to kick the idle up. While this is happening, putting it back in neutral has no affect, idle stays the same. Reving engine does nothing and/or worse. Turn car off again, then on idles fine, but once in gear idle drops.

Re: Idle Problem .. Please HELP! =[ (IVI)
No not yet, I was not sure how to do it. However, I dont think its that, the idle on this car was running mint at 750+ .... then like, one day it completely went unstable. I would think it would be constant, a gradual drop, not a sudden drop from a regular 750+ to suddenly below 100-stalling??? Is it possible?

No lights come on, theres a SLIGHT feel of loss in power when driving the car.
with AC on no, there are no lights then either. (BUT of course its a civic, and with AC there is NO POWER lol.) but seriously, yea, even wit AC theres a slight loss tehere too.

Well, i brought it in to get the injectors cleaned, the iacv checked, and idle readjusted if necessary. I dont have time to play with this crap for hours, so that worked for now. Idle'in is fine, however the engine is sounds a lil rough, i can hear it in the tailpipe, running a lil heavy.
Strange that my injectors could possibly be clogged before 50K, of course they could get clogged at any time, but whatever, i gotta try and smooth 'en out the idle a lil bit this week, maybe change out this oil.... first time using castrol (cheap-o / regular 10w-30), gonna put the part-synthetic blend back in there.
thanks all.
