I don't beleive that your exhaust leak will do anything to your idle. Did you check oil/coolent/etc?

my car does the same thing, ive replaced the plugs, plug wires, rotor and cap. A new thermostat and new radiator(autozone 100 bucks dual core ). and cleaned out the IACV numerous times. dont' know what the problem is yet, most likely the IACV but i can hold out from spending 200+ bucks on a new one for a while. post if it gets fixed.

I thought that if you had a faulty/dirty IACV, it rev'd higher, not lower. Did you try pluging the hole to see if it makes a difference?

i knew that is was a joke...cx's don't come equipped with a/c for the most part, anyway, you think too much oil will cause the low idle, it looks like i am a quart over

could be timing, throttle cable, or iacv. but since you say the only thing done to your car is an intake i dont think it would be any of those except maybe iacv. exhaust leak shoulndt effect idle.

i went to jiffy lube and got one today when i thought it couls be the oil level, so i have been driving around for some errands and it has been back to normal, but i'll know for sure when i drive to work on wednesday...45 minute drive should be a good test
