Idle problem 94 Civic DX
i just got this car not too long ago.. 94 civic dx.. got about 250K.. anyways first day i got it, my alternator belt snapped soo i replaced it.. now my engine is idleing weird.. and the battery light comes on the cluster.. the engine runs really weird the revs keep goin up and down and sometimes it misfires..

the alternator belt is on very tight i noticed... i didnt stretch it enough when i was puttin it on.. could that be some kind of a problem ??? i dont know why the belt squeeks when i turn on the car also..
