idle problem

Default idle problem

ok i have a 99 ex d16y8 and at cold tart i have a bad surgung idle from 2500 to 3500 cant find any leak in the vacume lines and i herd fitv or iacv or pcv but dont know how to check/clean or if it oculd be anything else?? any ideas?

to clean'm takem off and spray brake cleaner on them it should do the trick thats what i did on all mine on my del sol..any CEL's?

I've got the same problem sometimes it revs up then revs down then revs up then revs down then equalizes. I think it's my injectors *giggle*

yeah i have a cel but i cant pull it cuz koeo there is not code but anytime the car is running th light is on. i think its my fitv not iacv cuz it does it at cold start up but im thinkging it m ight just be a leak i dont kno but its realy bothering me

u do not have the same problem try fixing ur fitv (fast idle termister valve) its right under the throttle body. you have to take it out and screw the wite plastic thing in if it only at cold idle if it does it after its warmed up its ur iacv wich is on the back of the IM all u got to do is take it off and spray the dirty screen with some brake cleaner ....mine is a realy big vacume leak and im starting to think its my IM gasket

does anybody have a pic showing where is the iavc located?
I face the same problem but my michanic said try buying a new iavc !!
So it sounds better giving it a try and clean it :D
