Default idle not consistent and ac is not compressing

my idle goes up about 300 from 1000 (1000 to 1300 back and forth) for awhile then stops and may come back later. it is not consistent but it happens at least once every time i drive the vehicle. my ac is also not compressing so cold air is not coming out. my temperature gauge stays no more than at halfways after the engine is warmed up. coolant looks fine. what do you guys think is going wrong with my vehicle?
the vehicle is a b16a3 del sol.

Is this a recently swapped car? Your iac might be clogged. Unclog it. A/c does not blow cold in eg's unless the system is maintained. A/c and idle issues probably are unrelated. You can vacuum the system and recharge it, replace the tpv, and the drier, but I'd try to measure the pressure of the system first. If you need more info, pm me.

All original meaning no swap. Ill check out the iac and go fron there. And regarding the ac, could all of that be done at home or do I need to go to some specialty tools? Will all that cause the compressor not to spin?
