So this happened just the other night and it baffled me.
The idle started jumping and drops down to 100 after I come to a stop.
I have no power throught all the gears up to 2000 rpm.
I thought maybe it was my cat backed up, but it wasn't that (I cleared it out)
I changes distributer rotar and cap but it still does it idk what the issue could be.
I'm not sure if the timing jumped because someone told me I would be able to hear it.
My car is also running a little bit warmer than it use to
It use to run a little under quarter but now its a little under halfway up.
any help would be appreciated.

The car is basically stock besides the a6 cam I put in during the summer but it ran fine. Re-did all the valve adjustmentsat the same time. There is also intake and headers on it.

Update: so I just got done re-doing my timing it totally fixed it all

I have the same car. I adjusted my kickdown cable a little to move the shift points a few 100 RPMs higher. Made a small performance difference. Not too much or it'll shift harsh.
