Idle controll question
Alright guys, as of tonight I am the proud owner of a 95 civic coup with a frankenstein b18.
Supposedly the motor is a b18b with: eagle rods, ITR pistons, Brian Crower stage 2 cams, mild port/polish, Brian Cower valve springs/OSvalves, an OBX 4-2-1 header, bored TB, and some sort of ROM tune.
w00t.
The previous owner replaced the idle controll valve, and I suspect that he didn't adjust it at all. The motor like to bounce between 750 to 2K at idle, a little less with the AC on. My question is, what is the proper prodedure for adjusting the valve? Is it like a wax valve, or a screw, or what? Any help would be hot.
Also there is some sort of sensor on top of the intake mani that isn't hooked up to anything. it's got an electrical connector and a vaccuum nipple. ???
First car. First honda. Little lost.
Thanks guys.
