idle bounching
i have a 00 civic ex with a d16y8 i replaced the stock motor with one with less miles and i got one out of a automatic not knowing that the heads and intake are smaller than a manual one. now it idles funny at 1800 to 2100 rpm. the intake on a auto car doesnt have the ivac motor what can i do to fix it with out swaping heads from the other motor. thanks

Uhh.. all that stuff should be the same manual to auto. The only thing that differs is clutch + tranny vs tranny.
The bouncing idle probably is the TPS sensor. It probably is reading at too high of an ohm load.

Auto Y8's used a 3-wire IACV that is mounted on the throttle body. If you want to use a 2-wire IACV, modify the intake manifold (yes, it can be done since 5-spd intake manifolds started life as an auto intake manifold) and mount one up. Get a 5-spd Y8 throttle body to round out the package.
You have a vacuum leak, which is being caused by the IACV. 3-wire and 2-wire IACV's aren't constructed the same nor operate the same. When you unplug a 2-wire IACV, it's suppose to close down and seal off the air passage. 3-wire IACV's use a rotary type of mechanism which never closes down once unplugged, which means it's always allowing air to run through it. And setting the idle for a motor that uses one vs the other is also different.
