Re: (sageuvagony)
If you had a picture of it could you tell me more? I think the one on my 96 Sol is taking a crap and I dont want to pay for a brand new one. I'd rather get a used one to get me by... I'm kinda broke ya know. There is one in the market place... http://www.hondamarketplace.co...21678
Thanks for your feedback.

Have you tried cleaning it out yet? I removed mine to clean it and the screen on it was completely covered in SOOT.. There was nothing wrong with it but I decided to clean it anyway since many people were Some claim to clean it and it solves their problems. I used lots of carb cleaner..

Re: (sageuvagony)
So, to clean it, did you just spray the hell out of it with carb cleaner? or did you do something else. In my position, I'm kind of strapped for time, so when I took it off briefly it did not appear to be too dirty.
I tried to get the stealership to tell me what is wrong with my car and they can not further diagnose it since the ABS modulator is shot (I will be replacing that ASAP) so I figured if I could get that IACV for $30 to save a lil time.
Any opinions?

Re: (theqballer)
if you clean it get a new gasket or take the old one off before you clean it because it will expand. also do you have a vacum leak if your idle is messed up?

Did you mean to ask "Is your idle messed up if you have a vacum leak?" If that's what you're asking... yes.. but only when cold.. weird.. when its cold (for me), the idle jumps up and down.. but when it warms up after a few min of driving.. all is normal.. then thats when power loss comes.. stupid vac leak! Vacuum leaks cause all sorts of messup idle (most of the time)

Re: (boosted_EM1)
No I dont think I have a leak, I checked and it seems fine.
My idle is around 400 rpms... and when its warm outside (Michigan warm is like 60) it will stall out after it is warm. It doesn't over heat and the thermostat seems fine... however after I drive about 50 miles to my work and put it in neutral, it stalls right out. If I start it and give it gas it will go until I put it in neutral again. Funny thing is... when its cold outside it just idles at 400 rpms.
Everyone I know that is mechanically inclined points at the IACV.
Any thing else I may want to check?
