Default Identify this squeel....

i'm doing bout 80 on the expressway, outa nowhere i hear this squeeling noise, hard to explain but almost like the noise of a squeeling belt, very high pitched. but the noise came from the far right, the passenger side. theres no belts there, dont think its my intake. at first i thought my wheel was gonna fall off, but nah its on there tight. maybe the axle? sounded like it was coming from the glovebox lol. went away after a few minutes. car still ran perfect though, has 45k miles. any ideas?

nope. but after a minute of going slow (like 40 mph) i could hear the squeel like spins itself out and then it went away...

i dont know what would be squeeling on the passenger side...i know that your axle wouldnt be squeelin like that. I wouldnt worry about it unless it does it again.

Get under the car and check it out! It could have been a plastic bag caught in the axle, the boot could have come loose, lots of things could be wrong.

that's probably what happened to me one day. i was drivin slow and i heard this god-awful screeching coming from my front drivers-side wheel area. sounded like a metalic scraping sound. but after i stopped for a second and started going again, it stopped.

was never able to tell if it was a rock though
the sound lasted for about a good two weeks for me
and then stopped...i'm hoping it was just a rock
