ICM aka ignitor ... what fits what (swapable??)
I searched and got like a stupid amount of threads... spent about an hour reading thru several that looked like they may provide a good answer but none. i also scrolled thru the FAQ real quick and didnt spot anything.
1994 d16z6. are any other engines ICM (ignitor) universal? whether it be a solid no, only d series.. vtec and non-vtec. d series and b series etc, only obd-1 to obd-1 distributors....
back in the day we took the ICM from my stock 1994 cx distributor and temp. put it in my friends obd-1 p28 chipped b18c swap and it ran...
i need one for my z6 to test a theory but dont want to spend the money on a new one for a proven false theory lol. would one work from any obd-1 distributor... or what. friend has a spare obd-1 b18b i could borrow one from.. thanks

All OBD1 D-series igniters at least are the same, even the OBD1 DOHC ZC. That should get you started. I think all OBD2 D-series are the same too and the same as OBD1, but i can't confirm that.

Re: (twistedimage)
alright. i knew about the mounting brackets... some have 3 hole mount and some have a 4 hole mount if I remember correct.
I just wasnt sure if they were compatible between the OBD-1 & 2, and if they were compatible non-vtec to vtec. Thank you very much guys!
