iat sensor location
i just put a itr manifold on my b16a2. the itr manifold has the hole for a iat sensor in the runner but my si had the sensor in the intake arm. is one location more accurate or better then the other? it seems the itr iat sensor location would give it hotter readings. anyone have and insight on this?

Re: iat sensor location
In the intake manifold is better. So if you can plug the hole on the intake arm and get a new IAT sensor for the manifold I would do that.

Re: iat sensor location
put it in the correct place to suit the motor and ecu
then the ecu knows what its reading as it was programed for ..
move it to another location will upset the tune of the ecu as its not reading the same as the ecu is used to

Re: iat sensor location
It's actually a better design and almost all Hondas/Acuras use it except the civic. On a civic the IAT sensor is located before the valve cover breather inlet to the intake arm. The valve cover breather allows oil vapors to mix with the intake air. On the civic the reading is taken before the valve cover breather inlet so it is less accurate. Also it is more prone to leaks.
The stock ECU is capable of making adjustments if any are needed.
