Default iat sensor

I just found my iat sensor and people have told me its a good way to get a good 10-15 hp , but when i run it it runs louder and throttle response is bad too but it accelerates alot faster. I read on another site that unplugging it makes it run rich is that true?

what? leave it plugged in, the ECU wants to read it, you're NOT going to gain 10-15hp from removing it
