IAT Sensor

My civic was throwing cel 10. IAT. I replaced the sensor with another one from a b16a1. My car is tuned with Crome Pro (boostedb16) and there's a red wire running from the sensor to the ecu. There's another black wire running off also. I figured it was a ground so I tryed to ground it to a spot on the valve cover and a bracket that holds washer fluid I think. It never worked. Do I need to ground it to the body/frame ? Should that wire go somewhere else? How can I get rid of this code?

The colors on a factory obd1 harness should be red/yellow wire & a green wire....

Buy a mutlimeter and make sure the wire doesn't have any current running through it before you go grounding anything..

What about those tools that light up when electricity is present is that what your talking about?

axtran 07-05-2006 08:01 AM

why not just let the poor IAT go to the ECU like its meant to do?

I don't want to mess with the ecu if i can just ground it anywhere. So i need to dissconnect the battery when i do this?
