Re: IACV problem... need your help (Gremice)
haha wow, 2 of a kind. Im in the same bind right now. I did a b20vtec build...
Im pretty sure its something electrical. I changed my cap and rotor, and that seemed to help quite a bit. My dizzy was pretty hagard so i went and got a new one. Unfortunatly the car is a non running state becuase i fried my ecu, so we'll see how it comes out then the new stuff gets here. Check your plugs and wires. |
Re: IACV problem... need your help (93eg2james)
new plugs and wires, new distributor, i'm throwing a code 14 (iacv). mine wouldn't even go past 4k until i got new plug wires. danm i hoped you had the answer.

Re: IACV problem... need your help (Gremice)
how'd you fry the ecu? if it had something to do with your problem i would like to avoid it https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Re: IACV problem... need your help (Gremice)
no when i did the swap i mixed up the EVAP solnoid and the IAT sensor plug... http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif nothing you have to worry about.
have you tried cleaning the iacv? do you have a CEL? |
Re: IACV problem... need your help (93eg2james)
tried a new iacv. throwing code 14...
|
Re: IACV problem... need your help (Gremice)
code 14 is for a dirty iacv correct? you must have something stuck in one of the holes in the throttle body or in the IACV.
|
Re: IACV problem... need your help (93eg2james)
hrmm maybe. i am going to take off my throttle body to put on a new tb gasket so i will clean it up when it's off.

Re: IACV problem... need your help (93eg2james)
Had a similar problem after swapping out my b16 a2 for a gsr bottom with b16 head https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif. Turns out that my timing was off. Have you checked timing by chance?

Re: IACV problem... need your help (Gremice)
did you move that pin to the correct location?
did you get around to cleaning that stuff yet? im pretty much possitive that its something blocking the holes for the iacv. take your intake tube off and take a look. something has got to be stuck in there |
Re: IACV problem... need your help (93eg2james)
i already moved the pin. didn't get around to cleaning it don't get off work until 8 and i spent all last night hooking up my exhaust.
