IACV + Loosing radiator fluid? Is it possible?
Ok i have a 95 civic pretty much a lemon. lol anyways last year i replaced the headgasket, waterpump, radiator, hoses and thermostat. a couple of months ago it started idling funny so i took the throttle body off to replace the gasket i also took the Idle Air Control Valve off when i took the IACV off i noticed on the water side it was all clogged up and corroded. I cleaned everything put it all back together started the car up and it started reving up and down, at this point i was like whatever it runs. couple of days of driving it it started over heating so i check the water it was low filled it up so on....... Well its still loosing water i thought headgasket so i did a compression test the compression is good its loosing water very slowly, i did notice there was white smoke coming out the tell pipe which is a very small amount. i was wondering if the IACV was broke would it cause water to be sucked into the engine or is it the head gasket??

did you have the head resurface when you replaced the headgasket? Did you check for flatness on the engine block? A leak down test will tell you where you are leaking form.
