Iacv? help please

Iacv? help please
Just finished my buddies swap and its throwing a 14(idler air control valve). It never threw a code before the swap and we swapped in the same motor. The car is a 99 dx hatch with a obd2 gsr swap, converted to obd1, the only thing that is different between the two motors is the new one we sapped in has cp 9:1 pistons and eagle rods. It is turbocharged and it has a tune for 5 pounds, we just wanted to get the cel squared away before we get it tuned fo 20.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That couldnt be it though because it ran and idle perfectly before the swap. I was thinking we may have gotten some of the vaccum lines routed incorrectly. Im trying to find a diagram for how the hoses are routed.

its very common to have switched the iacv plug with another valve. i forgot which one, but back there, there are 3 rounds plugs that plug into 3 different sensors. switch them around and see it that helps.

purge solenoid, iat, and iacv all have the same plug but it is unlikely you would switch them although it is possible. First check the wiring to the iacv from the ecu etc.

Well i found the wiring diagram in the chilton book and everythings wired up correctly, swapped out the whole iacv with a good one and still throws a code. maybe wiring? anyway to check if the wires are bad?

did you do the proper three wire to one wire iacv fix? i swapped plugs and all that, but i still got a cell. turns out i had to repin the engine harness plug that plugged into the ecu conversion harness because the ecu harness i had, apparently, didnt account for it.

ok i will check the pins. and the other iacv we used came right off my buddys running gsr [obd2]. Cant you use a voltameter to see if the plugs are getting power?
