IACV & ECU RE-pin
Recently converted my 98 HX CVT to manual. Replaced CVT ECU w/ manual ECU. As a result, pinning for IACV different. A/T uses 3-pin IACV plug and M/T uses a 2-pin (right?). Based on the article I read (link below), my understanding is that I need to replace 3-pin MAP sensor with a 2-pin MAP sensor and 2-pin IACV plug. Then I have to re-pin the ECU as well. The article says you will only need 2 of the 3 wires.
If that's the case, can't I simply disconnect the 3rd unused wire, keep the current 3-wire plug and re-pin the ECU? The ECU I'm using is a P2N for a manual HX.
Car is currently idling high (around 1500 rpm). My understanding is that the solution mentioned above is the appropriate fix.

Any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!
