are iacv dif for obd1 and obd2? cant figure out problem after auto to tranny manifold swap
this is a problem that ive had since before winter. right now the car is sitting in the garage for winter. but spring is just around the corner and i've been trying to get the car driveable again. The car was converted from an auto to a manual. I drove fine on the auto ecu and manifold for a couple months except for the check engine lights for the auto tranny sensor. Then i finally got a skunk2 manifold. So i converted the 3 wire iacv to a 2 wire iacv, grabbed a iacv from a 93 civic dx and plugged in a manual p2p ecu. The car drove fine that day after the install of the intake manifold and new ecu, but the next day after driving a bit, the car would stutter and jerk violently whenever the rpm reaches between 1500-2000, and at the same time i got a CEL. I checked to be the iacv code. I through in another iacv from a 94 civic dx. Drove fine for another day and then the same thing. Jerks between 1500-2000 rpm or so and CEL for iacv. I checked the wiring and i was getting a voltage or 10.something so the wiring isn't wrong. I can't figure out the problem and its pissing me off. Also the throttle body on the car was from a H23 motor, i think it was a 93 or 94 prelude. I did open up the fitv and tightened it up. Any advice on how to fix this problem. Could it be a vacuum leak or something. I ordered next gasket for the throttle body and iacv. Gonna throw that on just cause i didnt put new ones before and its only a couple bucks. Also, are all the 2 wire iacv from 92-2000 civics the same? maybe i should fine a iacv from a 96-98 civic. help me out
edit: forgot to mention, car is a 97 civic ex with d16y8
edit2: recap in short:
installed skunk2 intake manifold
installed h23 throttle body (from 93 or 94 prelude)
converted from auto 3 wire iacv to 2 wire iacv (from 93 and 94 civic dx)
installed manual ecu (from 96 civic ex)
now car jerks whenever at 1500-2000 rpm, and CEL for iacv
cant figure problem, replaced iacv and tested wire for power already
