Default IACV code 14. tried almost everything to fix it.

Hi there. I recently did a y7/y8 mini me and what i ever seem to try to do it keeps throwing that darn code. Its not a sporadic idle, but as soon as it throws the code it idles at a constant 1500 rpm +/- 100. Also if I give it a tiny bit of gas, it bucks. It feels like I would be pressing the gas and then letting off repeatedly even though I am just holding the accelerator steady.

Heres the thing also. If i turn off the car for a little bit to go inside and go out and start it and go some where, the CEL will still be on but it will idle fine. After I drive for 5-10 min it does teh same thing all over.

So far I have done the following:
Clean IACV w/ throttlle body cleaner.
Let the car idle w/o the radiator cap so air bubbles come out.
Did the click test from the ecu side. It does click so i assume its good.
Made sure the IACV wires are wired right, and they are.

Motor is a y7/y8 w/ y8 intake mani. Manifold has been taken off and the old gasket was cleaned off. Now using hondata w/ RTV sealent to make sure it is sealed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This code is driving me nuts

Car is obd2b btw. and i did do the 3wire to 2 wire correctly using obd2b p2p also

you sure you have the correct plug in the sensor. there are three 2 wire plugs around that area, iacv, evap, and iat.

I threw this code a while back on my b16. I tried cleaning it and it never worked. I just replaced my IACV and it never threw that code any longer. My motor didnt have an iat, but i heard that there is a little screw that needs to be readjusted inside it for d series motors. You may have to do a search for that. Now the bucking, that is because the car went into safe mode. It feels really shietty but thats the way the ecu responds to that CEL code. Hope that helps.

you are thinking of the fast idle control valve.

Even if it clicks it can still malfunction. All it has to do is malfunction that one time and it would throw that code. The valve inside could be screwed up somehow.

Anyone fix this problem yet? I'm suffering from the same symptoms but I know this IACV is good.
