IACV bypass
Alright in my previous thread anout my skunk2 sohc manifold I mentioned it hitting the IACV on the proportioner valve....Now do i need the IACV if i bypass the lines and plug the holes and leave the sensor plugged in?
sorry if this a dumb question but the rubbing is causing shaking...

I mean it must have something to do with the idle but Im sure I cant **** up my idle anymore than it is lol bouncing from 1k-1.5k all day

The surging idle is caused by a lean condition at idle (too much air). Either the idle set screw is too far out or you have a vacuum leak somewhere. When the idle is surging, the ECU is modulating the IACV trying to find the idle set piont, 670 +- 50 RPM I believe. I would assume your engine will not idle properly with the IACV disconnected when it is cold. It may die when you come to a stop. Personally, I would reconnect the IACV. Then check for vacuum leaks. Set the idle properly according to the procedure outlined in the Helms manual. Once the previous steps are completed, massage the bracket for the prop valve to get the necessary clearance.

on the back of the IM there is a Nipple make sure that is plugged or has a vacum hose going to it. pretty sure that is the casue of your high idle. or another vacum leak somewhere else.
