IAC Valve problems
I just did an intake manifold swap because i needed the change the IAC valve when i did the auto to manual conversion on my 99 civic ex. I'm having problems because I need to find out what the two inlet outlets on the iac vavle go to. I know one goes to the throttle body but i can't figure out where the other hose goes to. Can anyone help? Is there another way to rig it up. thanx

Re: IAC Valve problems (SandFireTypeR)
They are coolant lines. They keep the IACV from freezing. you really do not need it if you live in a warm place.
Just make sure you loop and cap the two sides.

Re: IAC Valve problems (turbogixxer)
on the manual ex civics, they use a different iac valve. On d16y7's and automatic y8's they use rotary and have those coolant lines. On manual y8's, the lines aren't coolant lines. so i need to find out where they go to and what they are for... i thought they were vacuum lines....

yes, they are.
What IACV are you trying to use?
2-wire plunger style or 3-wire rotary style?
You running a manual EX ECU(P2P)?
You running a manual EX IM?
Sorry, I read the thread fast and skipped up the auto to manual thing.
