IAC or cooling system?! Please help
When my car is cold it idles fine, but after its warm or after I bring the revs up then it seems to bounce up and down from 900-1200 rpms. Im not sure if it is my IAC or if its the cooling system at all. All vacuum lines seem intact. The top of my rad spits a bit of cooloant either cause the cap is screwed or the seal is going. I have to top it up weekly. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!
Thanks

Re: IAC or cooling system?! Please help
Get a new radiator cap first off. But usually the idle problem after warm up is due to the FITV not working properly. There is a little test you can do to see what is causeing the idle surges. Let the car warm up to operating temp. Then inside you TB right before the throttle plate there will be 2 holes about 1/2'' in dia. Top....IACV Bottom....FITV. Now that you have the car warmed up plug the bottom hole. If the idle smoothes then the FITV is fine. If there is no vac there then plug the IACV (top hole) and the engine should stall. If the engine doesnt stall then you sir have a vaccuum leak
