turbo would be your best bet

look in the FAQ at the top of the forum... that should get you started and then ask more specific questions

sohc + low budget = low power

Like they are saying, get a cheap turbo setup is your best bet.

Watson..ready the ky for this noob...get ready to prove to your friend that peg-legging d16's are the gayest and most worthless engines...except for when they are sold to rookies who need a "car that gets me to a and b" so that you can buy a dohc engine...so heres your answer...engine swap or be content with being slow

1995 Civic EX coupe, 12lbs of boost, 200WHP.

TURBO is the most cost effective. You can probably do say 180 to the wheel on stock internals, and probably for around a grand.

with a good tune, you can go 180-220 on a stock Z6 with apr headstuds and a dual core radiator from del sol... or get the fluidyne one

i'm turboing my d15b7, hoping to get anywhere from 140-180 on my own tune...we'll see how it goes.. even if blow it, i'll be getting another d series to play with... when i'm done with that hopefully i'll have figured out tuning and everything in between, i'll go built B series and boost the **** outa that... those are my plans but it will be awhile as money comes

good idea with the b series....but does anyone else see the problems in rectum king's plans...can i catch a ride on your way to sementown as you waste your money and time on turboing 2 d series and "figuring it out as i blow up motors along the way" anyone with the freezing temp i.q. that you exhibit wont ever figure out how to tune an ecu much less on a turbo engine

your an idiot because no B series does 200 whp stock. Its already been proven via dyno by a member on here that a D-series boosted produces more hp than a stock ITR. And that was only 6 psi. Its obvious your trying to bait people and that you dont have much of a clue what your talking about

Whats the budget? 200.00 bucks 2000.00 bucks?

Building a car on a low budget really is just asking for trouble. These Honda motors will take just about any abuse you can toss at them but if done improperly you will be taking the bus to work.

Save up your money then go from there...or just read my Sig and figure it out for yourself. Good Luck.

Well the point would be that its about someone else, not about you, no one gives a **** about you. You told him to swap or be content being slow. Well.....he could boost and be faster than any other swap out there for about a third of the cost. PSI doesnt blow an engine, too much horsepower blows an engine so you can nix the comments about your friend, he either had a **** engine to begin with or he did his turbo setup wrong.
