I was told i cant do anything to a 91 civic dx?

I have another topic on here needing some MAJOR help with my car, but other news, the mechanic i asked said u really cant do anything to my kinda civic cuz its a 1.5 engine. I told him i was getting headers and exhaust for christmas and he said itd be a waste of money. Any truth?

It's not a waste of money..

But if i was you i would put a d16z6 (vtec) head on it and then go with a nice clutch and flywheel setup and i/h/e and you'll be set for a little while..
