I think my fuel gauge isnt working anymore....
The stock fuel/gas meter(gauge...) however you want to call it isnt working. I filled it up on monday and its a DX so i know it gets somewhat good mileage but the needle has stayed in the up position for atleast a good 40 miles and this worries me.
When i turn off the car all the needles go down except for the gas/fuel needle, its glued on F and this just started happening after i filled it up on monday which is confusing me.
It moves down a little when i go up a hill and it stays glued to the top when i go down a hill....can someone enlighten me as to what the problem could be...i dont want to be stuck on the side of the road with no gas.
As of right now im still full according to the guage and ive driven 398 km....help!

first off fill up the tank half way so you don't run out of gas.
The needle stuck on full indicates a short to ground in the circuit.
Make sure you don't have a wire pinched somewhere between the tank and the cluster and double check any wiring changes you made recently.

well when i mean its stuck its like moving back and forth between Full and about a Quarter away from full, so i dont know if anything wiring our grounds has been compromised because i didnt touch any wire at all.
i lifted the car up to see and banged on my fuel tank for a bit and it started to go down on the meter to where it should have been but then as i drove it went right back to the top so im guessing maybe its just a bad floater....now how do i fix that and how much does one cost....

my needle doesnt start to move for the first 60-70 miles, dont worry about it yet. put atleast 100 on it and see if its down. mine seems sluggish as well, one day it will read 1/2 tank w/ 200 miles the next day almost empty w/ 225-250miles. EG chassis's are known for this.

mine doesnt move until i hit 100 miles. running jdm d16a with si tranny. keep driving until you hit 150, then see if it has moved or not. btw has it ever moved before?
