I think my Fireball exhaust if fouled up. Can anyone help me find out?
Hey:
I got a 5Zigen fireball exhaust for my 95 Civic CX. I still have the original exhaust on the car except for the header, cat, and pipe immediately following the cat. If I lay the 5Zigen stuff down under the car, I can get it match up with the factory exhaust, only it is about a foot and a half too short to match up with the short pipe behind the cat. I would think I got the wrong kit, only it says its for '92-95 Civic CX/Si on the box.
To make a long story short>
Does anyone know how many pieces this kit has in it? My kit came with 3 pieces.
Am I missing something really obvious?
Is importparts.com a cool place to deal with? Am I going to get a hassle if this kit is screwed up in some way?
Thanks
Steve
Thanks
Steve

in a 92 cx the cat is located in the exhaust manifold very close to the head, as apposed to under the engine like an Si. The exhaust you have is fine you just need to get a peice of pipe made at a muffler shop to fill that 1.5 foot gap. If you measure it out accurate and give the muffler shop proper specs for your needed piece they probably won't charge a labor fee because they won't need to lift your car.

Good luck trying to find a muffler shop that will even touch your aftermarket exhaust...

take it to a independent shop and have them fit it with a custom downpipe..it ll cost u a bit now but u wont have to pay later with more $$$ and headaches..do it right the first time and it ll save u later
