I think I installed my Shox The wrong way....lol
Yep, Well First question is when a shox goes out does it just relie on the spring? because that what the front shox did the car looked like it was hitting switch's just bouncing up and down over and over so i put new shox on it and its perfect now, but my old shox i could grab the shiny piece and push it into the shox and out of really easy and it was like a pole going in and out and didn't do nothing. my new shox i could barely move and they made a gas sound. what happen to my OEM shox?
Second Question- Ok, I'm asking if i installed the shox the wrong way because if i turn my wheel all the way left or all the way right the stering wheel gets hard and when i look under the car it is forcing the brake line into the shox and causing my brake pedal to drop to the floor untill i pump it. so if i turn to sharp now the brakes go to the floor and after pumping them twice they come back.
Soooo, Does anyone have a picture of how it should be installed?
Its a 1992 Civic Lx Sedan.
THANKS!

Heh. well, its not REALLY an LCD, I was just wanting to upgrade.
Travis, um, Brakes have nothing to do with shocks, unless when you installed them, you nicked a brake line.

Jesus christ it's shocks not "shox".
Your OEM ones blew out, it happens when they get old. As for the brake lines, is there anyway you can put a picture up? Sounds like you have them routed wrong for sure.

Also, you could try to flip it in place, and if that didn't work, put it on the other side, and see whats up. If that dont work, flip it.
There aren't that many possibility. The correct one should be obvious.

Are both Shocks the same? or is one for the Left Side and one is For The Right Side Only?

the 2 hours you spent searching you could have gotten a little dirty gone hands on.
right now you'd be driving your car and laughing at the no longer existing problem

shocks are interchangable and it doesn't matter if its on the right side of the left side. its the forks that matter.
Speaking of forks. i need to eat. get some new shox's because if you can't figure out this simple tasks you'll need some sort of transportation.

sounds like you got your brakes lines routed wrong, or the forks backwards.
if you are turning the wheel and the lines are pinching/causing the pedal to drop THEN STOP ROTATING THE WHEEL!!!!
take the forks off, make sure they are the right way, and re route the brake lines the correct way

The front shocks on the 92-95 Civic are side dependant because the brake hose brackets are side dependant.

Here's a pic of how the front shock forks should go - the front of the vehicle is to the right in this pic, and nevermind that the lower fork isn't over the lower control arm, because i was replacing a CV axle.

The Brake lines are routed the right way its right their where the bolt hold the brake line on it is being forced into the shock tower the lower shock. and everything is put on the right way.
