Get a VIS hood. It's made out of good material and has a UV coating to prevent fading. Get them for ~$450. Check out http://www.jdmshit.com

Naw lol. VIS is crap and its probably not even carbon fiber, just a cheap fabric weave. You get what you pay for, and I wouldnt spend good money on a bad product. 
Spoon uses a couple CF layers, which makes it stronger.
And finally, Im allowed to say yeehaw lol. Im from a hick town but drive a civic.
