Default i researched - idle problem

alright i have a 93 si and have an eratic idle. i have changed the map sensor, iac valve, fuel filter. when driving it gives a little stutter when one lifts the foot of the gas, this happens in every gear. i cant find any leaks in the vacuum lines and all are hooked up properly. i was going to change all the gaskets, intake, exhaust, head, and valve cover to change any leaks there. need help, yes its a stock motor and it just started just the other day. and no im not an idoit.

also map sensor being disconnected stops it for a moment then returns to the erratic idle - sorry just thought of that

try resetting the ECU. I had that problem with my integra when I swapped a B18B into it. I found out the ecu had like 4 codes that were tripped. That's my guess...

we've tried that a couple of times...it's got to be a vacuum leak! but it's just a pain in the ***!
new MAP sensor, IAC valve, fuel filter....blah blah blah!
we know the valve cover gasket needs to be changed, but shouldn't be such a pain in the crack as that..probably needs a head gasket ( might be the culprit), but we don't know..we can't figure it out... doo-doo
