i ran my car at the 1/8 mile and was wondering if i had good times.

well my best run was a 9.5 flat on my b16 on my 92 si hatch.is that a good run https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif or bad https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

duggy 11-09-2005 11:52 PM

It rougly equates to a 15.0 second quarter mile. Not bad since it's a b16. Mods?

gents97civ 11-10-2005 04:48 AM

The 1/8th is all about the 60ft time. Post up the rest of the slip and we can tell you more.

hatchish 11-10-2005 05:48 AM

thats a pretty good 60' time https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

What kinda tires you on?

aser1z 11-10-2005 09:44 AM

Re: i ran my car at the 1/8 mile and was wondering if i had good times. (aser1z)

im on some old ass yoko tires since they came with the wheels i bought.i burned them up for a while before launching but they only helped on one run and that was the time i posted.if iknew they would have grabbed as well as they did i would have reved at about 5500rpm.maybe i would have received a better time.

heres a hint, this is a period ----> .
please use them, it makes it much much easier to read what you are trying to say.

Aside from that I gathered that you had some old Yoko's and luanched at 5000RPM. Not sure what else to add https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

so what would some of your calculations be of comparing my 60 ft to a quarter mile time?

JDM-EJ1 11-10-2005 07:02 PM

Re: i ran my car at the 1/8 mile and was wondering if i had good times. (aser1z)

It's not bad for a b16. I think you can do better.

With that mod list I would personally be dissapointed....then again Honda motors aren't that great for runnign a 1/8.

aser1z 11-10-2005 07:29 PM

Re: i ran my car at the 1/8 mile and was wondering if i had good times. (aser1z)

hey post up your times and state what motor you have?then we'll compare and contrast. but since yes it was my first time at the track i'll get a better reaction and time since i'm slapping rt-615 tires on my wheels.

Re: i ran my car at the 1/8 mile and was wondering if i had good times. (aser1z)

Now that you've given us your mod list, your times aren't too impressive. I thought you were running a stock B16, but with some practice for sure you'll get your times down a bit. Good Luck

i did a 8.9 in my civic in Eatonton, Ga. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
you didnt do too bad considering the weight and motor of your car
