I need your help
"hey guys, my names nichole, I live in Rocklin,CA. Someone tryed stealing my rims a few nights ago. I did not notice. I ended up driving around with only 1 lug nut on one of my wheels. On my way home the bolts that the lug nuts screw on to broke, and my wheel almost fell off. If I buy the parts to fix my car, can someone come do it for me? Name your price."

I second that. Good thing your alright cause it could have went sour quickly. Damn theives steal and put peoples lives in harms way . If you can try getting a shop with a press to remove and install the studs and then get someone to do the removal and install you can still save yourself a lot of money. It's just that those studs aren't easy to get out.

Its 75.00 an hr for labor thats mad expensive. HELP</TD></TR></TABLE>
If I lived in CA I would help, but I don't even live in the US. Just get a shop to press in and out the studs, no need to get a shop to do all the work. Here in canada it would be like $10 for both hubs to get the studs out and in. Oh and here it's $99/hr for labor and Honda just jumped there rate to $105/hr .

Re: I need your help (litterbox)
To bad your 6 hours from me, i would help.
Your going to need to have that pressed out and even then you might have to replace the hub (my friend had to for his 96 civic). See if your insurance company can pay for it if you have full coverage. Also do you still have warrenty? If so go to honda.
But if your going to have to pay for it yourself your looking in the price of 300 to have that fixed.

Re: I need your help (Nichole)
Which wheel is f'd (front end, or rear)? Either way, you need access to the hub/bearing assembly. This is what houses the lug studs for your wheels. If your rear wheel is the problem, it's an easier fix since the rear hub/bearing is usually sealed. If it's the front wheel, it will likely be more of a hassle. Repairing or replacing the hub usually means re-packing the bearings.
Wheel lug studs are cheap, usually $3-5 each. Getting them in/out is a whole other story. You will need to either pay a pro or do it yourself.
Hub/Bearing assemblies are relatively expensive, but not as expensive as the labor fees a shop will charge. Parts for a single corner of your car can run anywhere from $45 to $120, depending mostly on if it's a front or rear end issue. If time is a concern and money isn't, buying new assemblies and any required service from a pro is the best way to go. If you go this route, try to get a free tow out of it (or use your AAA card, if available).
Here are some things that you MUST buy:
WHEEL LOCKS!!!
A new wheel lug stud
wheel lug nuts
new spindle nut
Here are some things that you can buy:
A new hub/bearing assembly which will include 4 new lug studs (will replace "A new wheel lug stud" above).
Tilt sensor for your car alarm.
The actual process of fixing your problem will depend on what you buy. Either way, make sure it is all checked out by someone you trust. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION. I will never advise one to do so, but I have seen vehicles drive down the roads with less than 4 lug nuts. Understand the risks you pose to yourself and others if you drive it in this condition.
So... The solution you find will be determined largely by your answers to: Which wheel is messed up? Is this your only car? How much time/money is available? and Do you have a boyfriend? lol Where are those damn pics...
