you mean, jdm non VTEC!!!
im tellin you to learn to spell it right or your going to get flammed!
if i were you, ide stick to the d-series engines. yes the d15 sucks ***, but you could get a d16z6 and have fun with it "cheaply". you could probably find a complete z6 swap for around 750 bucks. thats engine+axles+wire harness+ecu+trans.
then alot of people get a turbo kit together for around an additional 1000-1500 bucks.
if you need any other info on d-series engines, i highly suggest to visit .....

If I were you I would buy a D16Z6 Head to make it a mini me. Then throw on a turbo run 8-10 PSI and put down about 200WHP. In your car you could "slay" many V8s. I've got both the head and a turbo kit if you are interested.

hey i have a D16Z6 and the power potential can be great. Ive already installed a AEM cold air intake...a MSD Blaster External Coil with a MSD cap...NGK spark plug wires and Denso spark plugs! Already I feel a difference in the performance...but I plan on selling my D16Z6 for a B18B1 with a B16A2 head. So in short ur D15 will not live up to a D16Z6 but like the guy said...get a D16Z6 and make a mini-me...or just hit me up and ill set u up with my D16Z6 for cheap...I have better plans!

IT'S VTEC DUMBA... just playin! Well im a fan of the b18c1. Mainly cuz i have one and it pretty much handles anything i throw at it. If your not the mechanic type and you want strong reliable hp with the possibility to go for more and not worry too much about your motor, go b18c1. You should be able to do the swap for 4g's. **** i got my car and motor (installed already) with the leather seats for $3500 canadian!!!!!! AND, the whole bottom end was fresh, 250o0KM on it, along with a semi new head. This baby's fast and runs like a dream, except for a damn cold start prob !!

Re: I need some tech advice since im new to my car. (haveaniceday)
thank you for laying that out! I just recently bought the car thinking it would run like a champ but, it just blew a headgasket. The guy I bought it from is willing to change the engine. Although I didn't catch what engine it was though? b16 something dunno... I will ask tommorow. I am willing to take more advice from all you tech experts thank you again!

a $4g budget can get you (if you do your own labor)...
B16 swap
H22 swap
d16z6 or y8 (sohc vtec) + turbo
keep d15, get z6 or y8 head + turbo
staying single cam and going turbo would be cheaper, but you have more potential down the road if you swap a dohc. Of the dohc's the b16 is an easier swap but the h22 is more power.

gsr or itr swaps usually take a little more than $4g's in total, but well worth the extra $ spent over the b16, IMO.
