i need some help!!!!

vtec help needed
ok i did the mini me swap on my 97 dx civic... the car ran like *** when i got it running.... i pulled 4 codes idle air control valve, both o2 sensors an air temp sensor.... i fixed the o2 sensors an idles air control valve it runs a lil better but still slow as hell but now im pulling the tps sensor.... ok on my swap we didnt hook up a knock sensor... would this cause my car to run like **** along with that tps.. what it is doing is taking off in first it takes for ever to pick up speed but at about 4300 i think vtec is kicking in an it speeds up... someone plzz help me out im so pissed at it...

y7 block, z6 head
z6 timing belt
z6 head gasket
y7 throttle body for now...
idle air control valve has been rewired to a 2 wire and repinned
using the y7 dizzy
