I need to re-upholster my headliner...help!
I am planning on re-doing my headliner, but I don't know where to find the fabric. The OEM fabric is a little padded, and I don't know where to find a decent match. I had an idea to upholster over the ugly ****, but I don't think the glue will stick. I searched "headliner" and nothing that helped came back. Does anyone know if there is a "how to" or does anyone have some suggestions?

do you want to change the color?
if not i would just suggest going to the junkyard and trying to find one to replace yours instead of all that hassle..
also a free bump cause i'm in the same boat and i'm about to junkyard search but if there "is" something easier i'm all for it
Edit: damn you ^ you beat me by a minute

yeah i know... but if you do a search in the archives for headliners there is about 67 results that come up...
i didn't go through all of them but pretty much your options are
1.) local fabric store to re wrap the old. (just over top of the old stuff as to keep the padding)
2.) someone suggested painting it they said the paint sticks really easily to it and it turns out nice.
hope that helps.. also there are a lot of them asking how to take it off with directions as well

Select the "archived content" button under the "Data Set" heading.
Somone should to a How to operate the search function...seriously you can get pretty specific results if you know how to work it.
edit - I'm a little slow...

In case u are still looking for more ideas, I had my old, stained, rusty-looking headliner and visors done in vinyl, EXACTLY like the interior fabric and color (grey) for 85 bucks.
