b16 would be ok. If lucky try to get your hand on b18c - jdm gsr i think .. or get an b20 will some 50 shot nitrous.

do you wont one or do you want one?
first get that decision
next either find a usdm gsr or a si motor swap
b18c1-gsr
b16a2-si
full swap will give you a very noticeable difference in horses and torque
youll love the b18c1
trust me

By this do you mean better as in more reliable, or better as in faster? No doubt a n/a B18c would more reliable, but a turbo D16z6 should be faster, depending on amount of boost. If you already have a Z6, it would be much cheaper to turbo it than buy a gs-r engine.

hah. welcome to honda-tech - where everyone is searching for this ellusive thing called torque. if you want torque h22 is what you want. or maybe a b20 or b20vtec.

there is so many options to consider for a swap. i'm in the same boat as you are now, trying to figure out which motor is best for my needs. figure out exactly what you want first (hp, torque, saving $$$, etc etc). once you know exactly what you want, you should know which motor is best for you. it's not an easy decision though - make sure you know what your getting into before you just go by some parts that you don't want or need.

ok i'm gonna say it: cheap, reliable, fast. pick two - you can't have all three.

i would go with the GSR if you have the money and want reliability, not a SOHC turbo.

H22 are cheaper than B18c....but everything is money!!
Sometime how much money you have.. will only allow certain engine or mods!!
For example if I buy a complete motor right now, my funds will be enough for a B16a2..but if I wait til spring I could have enough for a B18c.
So how deep is your wallet??...
oh..yeah a turbo kit for your stock d16z6 will be cheaper and faster than a stock gsr but you're pretty much done when you turbo it....but a stock N/A b16 or b18 will still have room for more more speeds mods!!

While you are still undecieded, start saving up money... Then when you finally reached a decision you have a good amount of money to start with unlike buying your way that you want to go. You have plenty of information on this tread recommending which setup you want to go. It all depends on how much you want to spend, goals for the car, and how fast you want to be. Have fun and good luck
