we're the brakes you had really dust-free?
cause i thought all brakes had to make dust considering it causes friction against something.
i would be interested in other replies about " dust-free " brakes

well, considering on my old sentra, i used to use those raybestos brake pads from pepboys, and after a few days it was almost black on my rims

with my civic when it went for inspection the guy called me to tell me he had to change my front brakes and wanted to know if i wanted to go with some "dust free" ones they had, said it wouldn't be as harsh on my rims. I got them and i really haven't had to clean my wheels more than once a month. if only i could remember which they were

Ditto here. They wear pretty quick too...not even 10k miles out of them? With my OEM's...they're at 20k miles and still have half the pad left.

I'm looking at AEM's now.

I know I have some cheapo aftermarket ones on the front and OEM on the back. The back never gets dusty AT ALL while the front is gunmetal after a week and black by the second. I realize the front brakes take more abuse but it seems the OEM pads dont dust very much at all.

I have EBC's rotors and their green stuff pads. They dusted like mad for the 300 mile "bedding" period, but after that they stay real clean for a couple weeks!
