92 civic hatch with a b16a2. * CABLE TRANSMISSION *

On my lunch break at work, I was heading to the gas station for a rockstar. As I left the parking lot getting on to a main street, I layed into the throttle a lil bit. Took it to 5500 RPM. I then shifted into 2nd gear and nothing happend !!!

The car still ran until it came to a complete stop. While rolling befor i stopped I tryed shifting into 1st gear....Nothing...

Now my car sits on the side of the road locked up. I still have electrical power all over.

When trying to start the car, the starter cranks and all, but no start up ! NOW ! for the crazy part ! WITHOUT the clutch pressed in, I can still turn my key and the starter will try to start the car !!!

I know i shouldn't have done this but i did to give as much info as possible. If I try to start the car WHILE IN GEAR, it will lurch forward. But still, no starting up.

ANY IDEAS !!??!?!?! Please help me H-T GODS ! *gets on one knee and prays*

If there needs to be any clarification, just ask. I am a little pissed at myself right now and may not have explained enough.

are you feeling any pressure from the clutch pedal when you press it in? I guess you might have broken the clutch cable and the clutch was stuck?

I dont recall.

OK, If I dont feel pressure fromt he clutch I may have broke the clutch cable.

now, Lets say I DO feel pressure from the clutch. What else could it be.

I am also able to put the car in neutral and move it.
