I try and start it and it just cranks and cranks.
1. MY fuel pump primes
2. Fuel makes it to the fuel rail
3. My injectors are getting around 9v
4. I'm getting spark.
My igntion coil went out (i think)so i replaced it. When I took my diz cap off I had to crank the engine one more time to get to the bolt holding the rotor off. When I put the cap back on I'm not sure i aligned it how it was when i took it off (but then again there is probably only one way the thing slides on) will this mess timing up?

another thing. I had a short a few weeks ago preventing my car to get fuel or spark (the wire that touches the relay to the injectors to the IACV) but I fixed it and it started up. The next day no start. No spark. I changed coil and got spark again. and changed two spark plugs (cyl. 1 and 2.) and it doesn't even sound like it's trying, just crankcrankcrank

I've sprayed ether in the throttle body and nothing changes.

Sound like a compression problem or timing problem? any ideas at all?

Sounds like you are blowing coils. Try replacing the rotor, cap, plug wires, and plugs.

my new coil works fine though, even after a considerable amount of cranks. sorry i made it sound like i changed it twice, nah i only changed it once....the second time i listed it was just refering to the first time i blew it
