First off, welcome to HT!
It always helps to state what kind of car you have, so we don't end up misguiding you. Also, in the upper right corner of every forum page is a <FONT COLOR="red"><U>Search</U></FONT> link that can help you gain independence from a bunch of schmoes like us.
Here are a few results from the search page:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1411547
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1440531
A more thorough search might help you find what you need.
Also, what kind of Power Door Lock Kit do you have? Honda OEM? Aftermarket? This usually makes a BIG difference in how you proceed.
In any case, the link below will help you secure your vehicle, and it has a section or two on Power Door Locks...
http://causeforalarm.thecarthi....html
http://causeforalarm.thecarthing.com/howto.html
Lastly, the best thing to do is to go here, find the Service Manual for your vehicle, and buy one (these are the Real Deal)...

Back to your question...
Re: Ground - Make your own!
Re: 12V - Again, the 12V constant you pick up depends on what kind of car you have. Regardless of what you have, the biggest bitch will probably be running wires through your door...
Hope this helps!

Is your Power Door Lock Kit from Honda, or is it Aftermarket?
Take a picture of what you have. This will help determine where you go from here.
Also, did you search for a DelSol Wiring Diagram? You're going to have to do some legwork for yourself, no matter what you need. <FONT COLOR="red">Try the search feature</FONT> while you wait for others (hopefully, someone who actually owns a DelSol, unlike me) to respond to your post.
Generally, the Floor Wire Harness should run below the plastic trim under your Driver's side Door. The connections to your Door Harnesses (both sides) will branch from the Floor Harness. The Passenger Door portion of the Floor Harness usually runs by/through the Parking Brake.
The Floor Harness runs all the way to the Trunk, and will have the wire for your 12V, but I can't tell you which one it is, or even if you should tap into it (there might be a better option). If you have a MultiMeter, you can do some signal hunting and make that determination yourself.
But you have to do some of your own research, buy a manual (Haynes or Helm), or rely on others to feed you the information you need...
I have no more fish to give. But there's the rod... Hope it helps (BUY A MANUAL )!

Re: I need help installing power locks (TraumaCase284)
thank you very much . if nothing else it will point me in a direction to start. Here is a link for the item. it is made by Protocol. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting
I have looked over many diagrams and my repair manual has a very vauge one. but most of them are just fuse block maps and none that i can find show where wires whould be. the one i am most worried about finding is the Parkinf lights (front and rear ) wires. and i just want to find the best 12v and ground to tap.
