1) turn caps lock off
2) This is a tech forum, not a 'what should i do with my money' forum. Use the site's search feature to look up topics of what others have done.
Its ALL personal preference and its threads like these that start stupid arguments.
Its just as dumb as asking 'which tastes better: Wendy's classic triple or BK's 3x whopper?" Nobody cares

Of course the answer is Wendy's
OP: I would not buy anything for $1200. Save until you have over $2500, and get a turbo. Until you have this much, I would tell you to research every aspect of them

Re: (AWD Terror)
Step One;
Step Two:
http://www.homemadeturbo.com/
Read up, make your own turbo, cheaper then buying a kit.

Re: (Sol.Taker)
1,200 is not enough for a nice ls-vtec build, maybe if you do it your self you may get something done with that kind of money..but not a turbo set-up...

Yeah, a head alone will cost 600-1k and besides, the OP is in Cali and LS-Vtec builds dont pass BAR Ref.
OP - you dont have many choices really. You can save the money and find a CARB certified turbo kit like Greddy or Edelbrock. I believe I have heard that some DRAG kits are CARB certified (you can check it out to confirm). Or you can keep it stock and enjoy a nice DD.

you can save up some extra money and buy a motorsway from one of the many dealersor people selling the on Honda-tech...you already have a b-series in so go with like a gsr motor(no tranny since u have the ls) which can easily be had for 1500-2000 which is not to far out of ur price range...sell the ls motor...do some basic bolt ons and ull have all the horsepower you will need

LS/Vtec isn't going to pass emissions legally and will bring headache with cali cops. I would suggest a Greddy turbo system to keep things on the legal side. Problem is you can't afford one for $1,200.. MAYBE used... Perhaps you should think about selling the LS and getting a GSR swap.
