Default I need help getting the crank pulley off of a 95 Civic D16 motor!!! PLEASE ASAP!!!!!

I need help with this ASAP!!! Does anyone know how to get off the crank pulley on this motor????? I tried an air gun but it isn't strong enough and I can't figure out a way to hold the crank still so that I can use a breaker bar to break the bolt loose!! Any help would be very much appreciated, you guys are my last hope

125ft/lbs and the best way to hold the motor from spinning is to get the tool that does this, moroso offers one for I believe around $65 on http://www.summitracing.com, it is a hex tool that matches the hex pattern of the inside of the pulley but there is a hole in the middle of the tool and a long handle handle will just rest on the ground and the hole is there so you can get the ratchet on the crank bolt.

Here is a pick: Part number is MOR-61805

That's the whole thing though, there isn't the usual hex shape in this pulley, it is totally round??? When I saw that it totally confused me. I am not a rookie to doing these kinds of things but this phuckin motor has got me stumped on how to take off the damn pulley!

I don't know there should be a hex pattern around the bolt unless DX's are different than EX's and Integras. Another thing you can do is take a really hefty screwdriver and put it in the vents on the brake disks that way when the motor starts to spin the screw driver hits the caliper locking the whole system but this seems hard on the tranny

I tried that but the damn thing is an automatic so I can't lock the motor and the tranny together!!

Put the car in R, with the IGN off, and have someone stand on the brakes. Then you'll have to muscle it off.

If it doesn't have the hex key, then it's most likely an aftermarket pulley.

Another way you can do it is get your socket with a bar on the handle (so it can brace against the ground), put the socket on the nut so that it is braced on the ground against the way the motor turns... make sure this is right. Then simply go inside and bump the ignition, and the bolt will break loose

I have only done this on domestics, but Im sure it will work on a import... should be all the same. Just make sure you get the socket & bar set right

adjust your air compressor to pump up 150 psi
then even the cheap air guns should work.
remember to have your gun oiled,
and to use short quick blasts

NOOOOOOO, Honda's turn counter-clockwise, will break or damage the crank or break the bolt off in the crank whick then you will be ...you probable have the crank with all the wholes around the perimeter of the crank. try to weld up a bar with 2 studs on it, or just buy the tool on a snap-on or maco

i just recently did mines..i borrowed an impact gun and it was a lil too weak stilll....so i rented a air gun..forgot how storong it was but it just came off before the thing even stated spinning...if the gun is strong enough you wouldnt even need anythign to hold it from spinning...hope that helps..i had to spend 80 bux to rent a gun and air compressor just to get taht damn thing removed....but hopefully you know someone that has one...

remember that you will also need a good compressor to go with a high capacity impact gun
