Please someone help me on purchasing the best carbon fiber hood. I heard that Fiber Images is a good carbon fiber hood brand. If advise. Thank you.

i think it gets a little hotter under the hood than it does in florida
so if it can stand that there should be nothing to worry about

if you are going for performance go with the fiber images, but make sure to get pins and such cause it is really flimsy, the VIS is more for looks and weighs more and supposedly you don't need pins with the new hoods, i haven't gotten them on my new hood and have gone 120 (at the track) and haven't had any problems with wobbling or flipping up and causing me to careen on off the track into a flaming inferno

IMO your b/f will beat you if you buy him an APC hood, unless he's a ricer... don't waste your money, it's either FI or VIS both good for looks and performance, now you just have to compare price...

Performance? What performance? It's a hood.

Anyway, I'd stay away from that brand, no matter what part you're purchasing. Something like a hood has to fit right, otherwise it will look pretty bad.

How much do you plan to spend? You ask us for the "Best CF hood", but then you ask about APC hoods. You can get hoods for $250, or you can get hoods for well over $1000.

the original PURPOSE for a CF hood was not so that you bling machine would look mad tight with CF all up on it YO.

it was to LIGHTEN up the front end of an FF car so that you can acheive a better balanced car.

thats what a CF hood was ment for and why some buy them.

my hood fits ok but it weighs less then 10lbs. its only a 2 layer hood, you can see threw it in many, many spots, and the hood is flimsy as ****, but it FUNCTIONS great just like it was designed too.

don't forget the bodykits northwest cf hoods. i believe they test fit all their hoods before they ship them out to insure good quality and a perfect fit.

APC=GARBAGE
If my girlfriend got me anything that was APC I think I would second think about being with her

But I like Fiber Images the best but VIS is also very good

what kind of hood do you have? i want something like that but it seems like everything out there now is for looks.
