I need help in Atlanta. Crown bolt came off the UCA. Recommend a shop?
Hello all,
I was driving up the Interstate last night after changing my clutch and rear oil seal. Everything was working nicely, and I got my car down the highway about a hundred miles. I heard a pop and what sounded like a piece of gravel hitting in the wheel well about half-way through the hundred miles. I didn't think much of it until I got into the city and heard a pop whenever I ran over any small bump. After I made a *somewhat* sharp turn, I heard a BANG BANG BANG BANG at about 50mph and had to pull over and stop the car with the e-brake...of course, it acted worse when I pressed the brake pedal.
I am unsure about the amount of damage sustained from this, but I travelled only about 1/8 mile before I was able to stop.
I don't have time to mess with the car any longer, and I need to have it towed somewhere to have the suspension checked out and repaired. I hope that I didn't mess up an axle. It needs an alignment as well as I had to replace a tie rod that I messed up when I was trying to get the nut back on it.
I need to get this fixed quickly. Can anyone recommend a good shop to get this to in the east/northeast Atlanta area? Decatur, Lilburn, Tucker, Clairmont, Buckhead, etc.
Thanks for your help.
