Default i need help.

DUE TO OVERHEATING I HAVE CHANGED MY THERMOSTAT, WATER PUMP, FLUSHED MY RADIATOR, AND IT STILL OVERHEATS. I TOOK IT INTO A SHOP WHERE THEY TOLD I HAVE AN EXAUST LEAK GOING INTO MY COOLING SYSTEM. SO NOW I AM TRYING TO PULL OFF THE CYLINDER HEAD ON MY D15B7 SO I CAN CHECK FOR A CRACK AND OR TO SEE IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN MY HEAD GASKET. IM HAVING TROUBLE UN-BOLTING IT, AND I NEED TO KNOW IF THE WHOLE LEFTY LOOSIE RIGHTY TIGHTY THING APPLIES TO JAPANEESE CARS? AND CAN ANY TELL ME, WOULD I EVEN BE ABLE TO SEE A CRACK BY CLEANING IT, OR WOULD I NEED TO PULL THE WHOLE THING APPART?

yes the whole lefty loosey, righty tighty applies to imports. as for the overheating problem, did you burb the system? i don't know how many times i've posted in similar threads, but it's the one thing people over look when replacing parts or fluid in the coolant system. if the system is not air free, it'll still overheat. if you haven't tried it yet, try it before removing the head.

I HAVENT TRIED IT, BUT THAT WOULDNT CAUSE THE EXAUST TO LEAK INTO THE COOLING SYSTEN. BUT I DO HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION. CAN I PUT AN INTAKE FROM A 1.5 VTEC AND PUT IT ON MY 1.5 NON VTEC? IF SO WHAT WOULD I NEED TO DO IT?
