"Si red" is the same color red that comes on all '96-'00 DX coupes, EX coupes and HX coupes. It's called Milano Red. It's color code is R-81. It's the color of my '98 EX.
I'd say that it's best left up to you how you want your car to look and drive. Think about which lip you want, why you might like a lip or not like a lip and weigh your choice on that.

You're gettign confused. I have a Roma Red and a Milano Red car here.
Milano Red only comes on COUPES.
Roma Red only comes on HATCHES.
NEITHER comes on sedans.
My EX COUPE is Milano Red. My boyfriend's CX HATCH is Roma Red. I can go snap a photo later of the paint code if you really don't ******* believe me.

And guess what? This guy who's post I'm quoting... He has a Milano Red car too! And it's NOT an Si.
Are peopel really that stuck on thinking everything about the Si is special? "Si spoiler", "Si taillights", "Si red". It's not just for the Si.
"Si spoiler" = '99-'00 coupe spoiler.
"Si taillights" = '99-'00 coupe taillights.
"Si red" = '96-'00 coupe red.
And Roma Red and Milano Red are just about as dark as each other. The OP's Roma Red car must have been oxidized. Roma is more orange and Milano is more pink and blueish.

I'll one up you.
As most of us know, R-81 is the paint code for Milano Red.
Here is an image of my door jamb on my '98 EX coupe. Notice the chassis code (EJ8) and the color code (R-81). You might also notice the interior color code, Type K for Classy Gray aka Dark Gray. This is also the same color interior that all '99-'00 Si coupes had.
These tags cannot be purchased from Honda. They come on the car and that is the only way they're available to the public.

NO USDM Civic came with a black interior. I have the Electronics Parts Catalog and there is NO OPTION for a black interior. The only colors available are:
COUPES:
Type K - Dark Gray (Classy Gray) (for '96-'00)
Type F - Light Gray (Charcoal Gray) (for '96-'00)
HATCHES:
Type K - Dark Gray (Classy Gray) (for '96-'00)
Type F - Light Gray (Charcoal Gray) (for '96-'97)
SEDAN:
Type F - Light Gray (Charcoal Gray) (for '96-'00)
Type P - Tan (Medium Taupe) (for '96-'00)
Dark Gray = Type K (go look at your girlfriend's car, it will say this if it's an Si)
Light Gray = Type F
Tan = Type P
This isn't about the Si coupes I've seen, this is about what Honda says. Not to mention Si owners will confirm this. The Si DID NOT come with a black interior. The leather seats was a DEALER option only. You cannot buy them from the factory because all they are are OEM fabric seats which have been reupholstered by a nearby upholstery shop. The leather seats were available on ALL Civic trims, not just the Si. It's just more common in the Si plus everyone calls them "Si leathers", which leads to confusion.
Notice at the top it says these are the interior colors for the '99 Civic coupes.
And here is a shot from the EPC for the '99 Si. I can look up the 2000 if you don't believe me, but the colors never changed. Notice the only color the seats come in.
