I might have found the source to my radiator problems
Well today me and my friend were refilling the radiator fluid because it has been leaking. I noticecd that when he turned on the car the radiator fan wasnt working! I don't know how long this has been going on and I don't know if i should drive or not. I don't know if i should get a new fan because i dont know if its the fan or the wiring or something else. How can i find out, and if i do have to get a fan how much would it be. Any replies that arent smoke weed every day will be greatly appreciated.

are you sure you let it warm up enough to come on ?it wont come on till it hits a certain temp.if you want to test the fan simply unplug it and run two jumpers to it,see if it turns,if it does then it might be a fuse or something else, could be the relay or the switch.

check fuses and wiring first. and your fan won't come on until the motor begins to overheat...
get a repair manual.... the entire check procedure is outlined and illustrated in detail

my radiator was having problems a while back, too. we had it checked out and found out that my h20 pump was cracked and then we replaced it and i haven't had any problems since then

oh, one more thing, the fan didn't seem to be working at all either, then it worked after we fixed the h20 pump

Could someone possibly show me where the water pump is in a picture. My car is going on 130,000 miles so it wouldn't hurt to replace it. If I do decide to replace it about how much are we talking about and will it be easy?

it's right on the block above and to the left of your crank sprocket. You won't see it until you take off you timing belt covers. Might as well replace timing belt while you're at it.

for the fan, to test it
just start the car and sit for about 20 minuets
let it get hot. if the car begins to overheat (well over the halfway mark on the temp gauge) your fan dosent work

Re: I might have found the source to my radiator problems (kingpen)
driving around wont make the fan come on
the fan comes on when enough air isnt being pulled through the radiator to cool the water/coolant.
so it takes about 15-20 minuets at IDLE to get the temp high enough to get the fan on.
