I know OBX is bullshit but tell me what you think about these headers
Here is the deal I'm getting them for dirt cheap, and from what I know most of OBX parts are bullshit. All I wanna know is do yall think they will perform better than the stock restrictive B18B LS headers I have now (I've heard of some headers performing worst than stock). My set-up is a stock B20vtec. I can't afford any other headers now and I just need something for the next track event coming on the weekend because this stock manifold is choking my motor up top.
These OBX headers in the pic have a 2.5 inch collector.

not sure about what kind of power you're producing, but the 4-1 with a 2.5" collector might be too big. other than that, unless you're willing to spend big bucks for really high end headers, pipes are pipes

well if you can look at the quality of the piece before you buy it then its a plus, check out the welds, and how the ports are smoothed out, also check if its tack welded or fully tig welded, shitty welds will let the header literally fall apart from engine vibration.

my brother has had obx headers on his car for 4 years there still in perfect condition, and I have had ractive headers (same ****) for about 3 years, they are also in excelent condition, there only headers theres not much that can go wrong, also that picture shows that it has a bracket for the lower header hanger ( mine doesn't even have that) even better then mine

OBX has actually upped their quality in production. Alot of their newer items, not anything like from 2years ago are done actually pretty well.
I've noticed now that their headers & exhaust are much cleaner and the welds and ports are sanded & smooth out. It's actually a deal for such a cheap price whether you choose to believe it or not.
Im pretty sure there are you on here who will say OBX is crap, and then there are some who will say there OK.

+1 for OBX, they might be getting banned from SEMA but they have the best Robot Tig welds I have seen. I have these headers on my D for over a year, plus I used to sell their WRX headers and they were nice. The funny thing is, OBX made DC headers, same part.

I had a stainless OBX header. It worked fine for the time that I had it, didn't break or anything. I didn't feel any gains though But at least it looked cool!

I have been running one of thier stainless units on my wifes Protege 5 for about a year and a half and have had no issues. As far as power goes, it eliminated the pre-cat in her application which made it seem to lose some bottom end, but it did seem to gain some power in the high end.
