I keep getting holes in my coolant hoses???
 

Hey guys this is the second hose int he past 3 weeks that i got a hole in is it just by chance this happened or is something causing my lines to get holes. It has not been any hotter then normal and my car is not running any hotter so what gives???

Are the hoses old? Did you do anything with the cooling system rescently? i.e. Change the coolant, bleed it?

Is it close to anything, like your clutch line? It might be rubbing up against it and that might be causing your hose damage.

Seriosly, is there a rodent problem in your area? maybe they're eating through the hoses? I don't know why they would though http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

the hoses have not been replaced since i have owned the car. They seem fine when i feel them no bubbles still pretty stiff who knows?

They can either crack over time or when you have a lot of pressure, it can bust a hole. Has happened to mine several times. Replaced it with brand new OEM one's and all has been well since. Well, only until the next older hose went bad. Then one bad hose after the other. Radiator hoses and heater hoses have all been replaced now.
